Membership - join or renew

Wett Ones Swimming Club conducts swimming training sessions for those who wish to get fit, keep fit and improve their swimming.  We are a club run by its swimmers for its swimmers.  Our coaches are also members and regularly swim with the club too.

What do I get as part of my membership?

• Membership of Masters Swimming Australia, this gives you the ability to race in local, national and international competitions like the Gay Games and IGLA Competitions.

• Access to daily training sessions by qualified coaches at very low prices, including regular special sessions of different strokes and technique.

• Dedicated lane space at pools like Sydney Uni, Prince Alfred Park, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and Victoria Park..

• Regular social activities both in and out of the water. e.g Mardi Gras Parade and Ocean Swims in Summer.

• Insurance coverage for training at any Masters Swim club and competition at any Masters Swimming Australia accredited event.

Swimmers of all standards are welcome - although prospective members must be able (as a minimum) to:

The DO’s of joining:

• Be able to swim 100m freestyle non stop, 2 laps of an Olympic sized pool.

• Swim 1km (20 laps) freestyle in an hour, using correct breathing with head down.

• Be confident swimming freestyle along with either breaststroke or backstroke.

• Attend one of our 1hr free Introductory sessions, held every two months.

• Use your 3 free trial swims to try out our different sessions, we have 6 each week.

  Once you have used your 3 free trial swims, join Wett Ones via NSW Masters Swimming to continue swimming. Membership prices are outlined below.

The DON’TS of joining:

• DON’T worry about being fast. Our members have a wide range of abilities and speeds.

• DON’T worry if you can’t do butterfly. We won’t force you to do it but we will help you learn.

• DON’T be nervous about your fitness, our qualified coaches will support and encourage you to improve.

• We compete regularly in races, we encourage everyone to join us, however some members train just for fitness and that’s ok too.

2025 membership prices for those joining or renewing will be available for purchase via NSW Masters Swimming from 1 December 2024.

You must be a member of Masters Swimming to swim with Wett Ones, except where you are using your initial 3 free trial swims.
